At check in, guests must present one of the following: 1. a foreign passport 2. a Canadian driver's license or 3. an out-of-state American driver's license. Guests may also be asked to present proof of travel. People under the age of 16 are not permitted to stay in dorm rooms unless the entire dorm is rented. People under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone. Parents with small children may not want to book here due to the late night atmosphere.

Getting there:

Directions from LAX airport:

Shuttle/Train - $8.50
FlyAway Shuttle: If you are exiting baggage claim between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. follow signs for 'FlyAway Bus, Long Distance Vans.' Find the FlyAway bus going to Union Station. You will pay $7 for the bus. Once you arrive at Union Station take the Metro Red Line. Take the Metro Red Line toward North Hollywood. Take the train to the Hollywood and Vine station. When exiting the station, turn left onto Hollywood Blvd. Walk 5 ½ blocks to Schrader Blvd. and turn left. The hostel will be half a block down on Schrader Blvd. on your left.

Direct Shuttle - $16
SuperShuttle: If you are exiting baggage claim between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. your options are a cab ($40) or one of the direct shuttles. We recommend Super Shuttle. You might also wish to take this door-to-door shuttle if you want to transport directly to the hostel. At LAX, follow signs for 'Shared Ride Vans.' Find the person in a blue SuperShuttle jacket or t-shirt and ask for a SuperShuttle to USA Hostels Hollywood (1624 Schrader Blvd.)

From Greyhound Hollywood:
Walk South on Cahuenga Blvd, cross to the South side of Hollywood Blvd and turn right onto Hollywood Blvd. Turn left on Schrader Blvd., the hostel is the third building on the left.

From Greyhound downtown Los Angeles:
The best way is to pay for the $8 Greyhound ride to the Hollywood station. Another option would be a short cab ride to the Amtrak Station and then follow the directions from there.

From Amtrak's Union Station:
Take subway towards North Hollywood from Union Station to the Hollywood/Vine Station. Exit the station and turn left (towards Vine Street) onto Hollywood Blvd. Turn left on Schrader Blvd.
